Doe Deere was born in Russia and raised in New York. She studied fashion design in New York and later became the Chief Executive Officer of the leading cosmetics companies known as Lime Crime. The company was launched in 2008 and offers a wide range of services. Some of the services and products they provide include; Pigments, Nail Polish, and lipstick among other wide range of products.
She was self-motivated and started making her own designs and creating a clothing line which was independent and based online. The motivation started when she started modeling and couldn’t find the best colors to model. This saw her start making her own bright colors to suit her needs. The idea of bright colors comes from her power of imagination and her ability to create make-up that is unique and that outdoes any other brand in the market.
She is also the founder of Poppy Angeloff. This is a company which specializes in designing Jewelry. It aims at creating a world where girls can use vibrant colors and makeup without having to worry about critics. Doe Deere`s experience has enabled her to create products that portray a woman’s both internal and external beauty. The creation of Poppy Angeloff was a result of re-discovery of heirlooms which remained in the possession of her family which she fell in love with. Her sister was instrumental in making the creation of a company that specialized in selling classic and vintage jewelry a dream come true. She inspired Doe Deere and even gave her more fascinating ideas of how to make the company become real.
As most successful individuals, Doe Deere also had her challenging times. The most notable one was when she was 17. She and her mother moved to the United States and spend the next two years surviving on money from doing odd jobs, and any help from strangers. This to her didn’t come as a disadvantage but rather as a motivation. She has her pivotal points which have helped her become successful. They include; Passion is a key in any successful person’s life, becoming a customer and experiencing what a customer feels, and taking risks is also key in any achievement.
Some readers might already be familiar with Doe Deere. Lime Crime Cosmetics in Los Angeles employs 35 people and Doe is the CEO! She is also the owner of a fashion brand called Poppyangeloff. Some people might associate Doe’s efforts with a life-long American work ethic, but there is another ethic at work here that has gone overlooked in a country where Nationalism propaganda seems to go over surprisingly well; the immigrant work ethic. Let’s not forget that age-old traditional American business tale. The one that starts with an immigrant and this one starts with Doe.
Doe wasn’t alone when she traveled to America for the first time at the tender age of 17. She had her mother and sister with her. Together the three of them had high hopes. As the weeks passed the three learned many things. They learned that New York looks nothing like on TV, they learned that everything must be earned and they also learned that the US would not employ the mother as an accountant as she was historically in Russia. Her foreign credentials could not be accepted within the American field and the three of them went from barely blue-collar to all the way broke! They also learned that some Americans can be kind though. There was always somebody to give them a place to stay or a meal as they worked their way up.
Doe and her family reached a point where they could pay for their own government housing. Doe mentions crime and vandalism briefly at this point. She mentions them like they’re not a concern because they weren’t! The real concern for these three women was being able to have their own apartment and cash flow. It’s the type of appreciation that immigrant grandparents have struggled to teach to their family’s future generations!
This type of appreciation is hard to teach though. Just like in business, Doe had to start from the bottom so every addition was always a great appreciation. The level of appreciation that Doe, her mother, her sister and immigrants like them possess can typically only be derived from true life experience.
Guns and dating do not have anything in common. When most people go out on a date, they usually don’t think about taking a gun with them. Not unless they plan on shooting at a gun range or hunting in the great outdoors. Still, the average person will not bring a gun with them to go to the movies, out to eat or to sit outside under the stars.
In February of 2018, a tragic situation took place in Parkland, Florida. A young man named Nikolas Cruz killed 17 people after going on a shooting spree. Many people lost their lives and a national gun debate emerged from this situation. In the aftermath of this incident, people all over the nation (and the world) had to rethink gun laws, school violence and guns in general. Another area that was impacted by this event was social media and how users portray themselves online.
Apparently, Nikolas Cruz had a social media profile that portrayed himself using guns. He also sent crypted messages through his profile page about using his weapons. Most people just did not pick up on his behavior at the time. Those who did see something off probably just dismissed him as being crazy. Still, the signs where there.
Whitney Wolfe realized that a dating site should not be a place to display firearms. What’s the point? As CEO of Bumble, Whitney Wolfe even stated that guns just does not fit with Bumble’s values. She also pointed out that there are women on her staff who are gun owners. They even agreed to get rid of the guns from the site. This took place sometime around March of 2018.
Bumble’s leaders reported that many people were pissed off by this announcement. They threatened Whitney Wolfe and her team. Some users even stated that they were going to get the ladies at Bumble. They even sent pictures of their genitalia and guns to the staff. Whitney had to hire a police presence at her office to keep everyone safe. Whitney Wolfe also got rid of guns on her site to ensure that no one would be identified as a potential weapon toting psychopath from her site. She wants people to feel protected, safe and secure while they try to find love on Bumble. Bumble is a feminist dating app that secures safety and security to all its members.
Wow. Kudos to NZ MP @janlogie, who has devoted her career to the cause of women’s safety from abuse and violence. Look what’s possible when women lead, and allies of all genders listen! 🙌 https://t.co/4gpiDcLUIK
In 2001, Rona Borre left her high-paying job as an account executive at a large staffing agency to form a new company called Instant Alliance, a Chicago staffing company of which she is the founder and the CEO. She has never looked back and said that she regretted the decision because Instant Alliance is one of the fastest growing staffing firms in the Nation.
Borre was asked in a recent interview what it has been that she learned about her road to success. Borre said that it is very simple in that you have to do good work and deliver a great result or solution to your clients. When you can go beyond and what people expect and do a great job, it will go a long way towards cementing a relationship that will last a long time.
This is why Rona Borre practices what she preaches and trains her account executives to do the same thing. She emphasizes that each sales person needs to get to know the upper management of the organization with which they are working. Once a solid relationship is formed, then frank discussions can take place to determine exactly what kind of candidate is needed for key positions.
It is very important to hire people of talent, which goes without saying, but the magic ingredient, if finding people who will fit in as team players. People have to buy into the corporate culture of the placement will ultimately fail. The results speak for themselves because the attrition rate since the inception of Instant Alliance is only 1% which is an unheard of number in the industry.
When Borre began the company, she hires seasoned sales people who had been in the staffing business before who used to lots of office support, and they failed miserably. They were not capable of taking any extra effort to try something new. When Borre hired raw recruits and trained them her way, they were a fantastic success.
Borre sets the example by demonstrating how to get the job done that is all it takes. The relationship between Instant Alliance and the decision makers of the client company is the cement that makes things work. Click conferences.shrm.org to read more about Borre.
Rona Borre is the founder and CEO of Instant Alliance, a Chicago-based staffing and recruiting company that has taken the business world by storm. Borre had graduated from the University of Arizona and took a job at a large global staffing company where she proceeded to lead the company in sales while setting all-time production records.
In 2001 she started Instant Alliance in the spare bedroom of her condo in the windy city, and today it is one of the fastest growing staffing companies in the country, visit instantalliance.com here. Borre has one caveat that she sticks by and it works. She discovered that most staffing firms fail to implement one key factor, and it stunts their approach to success.
That factor is the relationship that is formed between the staffing agency and the leadership of the staffing company. Borre wants to know everything about the client company and who and what they need in a candidate. Then she goes out into the marketplace to find that one valuable employee.
Borre’s firm mainly hires financial and technological candidates because they are the necessary talented people who are needed when a company needs to get to the next level. Once Borre knows exactly what the hiring company wants and needs, she will move heaven and earth to find that person.
