Purina employees are explaining why they choose to feed Beneful® Brand Dog Food to their own dogs in an ad campaign recently initiated by Purina. The workers’ supportive words were recorded at Purina’s Atlanta factory to refute allegations about the pet food’s safety and quality after the recent filing of a class action lawsuit.
In the press release, originally from PR Newswire, Purina workers are shown with their pets, expressing pride and confidence in the quality and safety of the widely-popular dog food. The national campaign, which includes television commercials, digital and written ads, kicked off with a full-page ad in Sunday’s The New York Times.
The class action lawsuit was filed in February over concerns about Beneful, a product that has never been the subject of recall. Company statistics show that more than 9.5 million households feed their dogs Beneful, Employees up and down the ranks stand by the high quality standards of Beneful.
Manufactured by Nestlé Purina PetCare Company, Beneful brand dog food is available in wet and dry formulas. Beneful has been produced since 2001, and is one of the most successful dog food brands in the Purina’s history. Beneful is manufactured at one of eight Purina-owned factories in the U.S.
