Jenifer Walden is a plastic cosmetic surgeon who works in Austin, Texas. She spent a majority of her early career working in New York’s Upper East for almost eight years before returning to her hometown with her two twin sons. She was hesitant to make a move back home citing that Texas has a more organic tone to it in comparison with New York which favors plastic surgery. However, she opted to shift so that her boys could have a stable home to grow up in with her family and she could help women achieve their most desired looks. One of her successes in Austin includes helping a stay at home mom of three feel better about herself by rectifying the changes that come post-birth.
Dr. Jenifer Walden revealed that one of the reasons that prompted her to pursue the career besides her stand on feminism is compassion. As a lady, she understands the struggles that women go through looking at the mirror and wishing they could tweak certain body parts a little. Jenifer is among the few women in the male-dominated industry and is part of the American Society for Aesthetic of Plastic Surgery. She is one of the 800 women who have to prove themselves on a daily basis considering there is a total of 8100 plastic surgeons in the States. Walden reveals that her work is worth it because she gets to serve women who prefer opening up to a fellow woman about sensitive body issues.
Jenifer Walden is an Austin native and alumnus of the University of Texas Medical Branch located in Galveston. She emerged as the salutatorian of her class and proceeded to receive mentorship in aesthetic surgery at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. After an extended stay in New York, she moved back to Austin in 2011. Walden is a passionate plastic surgeon who has published her perceptions in the field in the book ‘Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.’
